The Emporia State University Alumni Association and Foundation is seeking a Gift Processing Specialist.
The Gift Processing Specialist ensures the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of all philanthropic contributions while upholding the integrity of the Foundation's CRM as the system of record. This role plays a critical part in maintaining data entry, data quality, supporting financial accuracy, and enabling organizational reporting, campaign readiness, and donor stewardship.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Process and record all gifts and pledges, and issue receipts and donor acknowledgements accurately and in a timely manner
Enter data and maintain data integrity through adherence to CRM standards, coding structures, and documentation protocols
Reconcile gift transactions in partnership with Finance to ensure financial accuracy and audit readiness
Ensure every gift has proper gift documentation according to rules and regulations
Generate donor gift reminders regularly in partnership with Development
Ensure compliance with gift acceptance policies, IRS requirements, and organizational procedures
Partner cross-functionally with Development, Stewardship, Finance, and Operations to ensure seamless processing workflows
Support organizational reporting and campaign readiness through accurate and complete data entry
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in business, accounting, finance, nonprofit management, information systems, or a related field; or 2 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
Ability to maintain accurate records and working with complex databases or CRM systems. Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and transaction processing.
Experience handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
Experience in higher education, nonprofit fundraising, advancement services, or foundation operations.
Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT or similar donor management CRM systems.
Experience processing charitable gifts, pledges, and donor acknowledgements.
COMPENSATION
Hourly Rate:
$21.64 - $25.00 depending on qualifications.
