Information Technology Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Data Quality & Governance Specialist supports data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all core business systems including Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, and HubSpot. This junior-level role focuses on contract verification, data cleanup, and error correction resulting from historical system migrations and legacy processes. The specialist will investigate discrepancies, validate contract and asset details, perform manual corrections, and help ensure contracts are booked correctly moving forward. This role is ideal for a candidate with ~1 year of experience or a strong aptitude for learning analytical tools, attention to detail, and problem-solving.
Education:
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, but not required Business, Finance, IT, Data Analytics preferred Equivalent hands-on experience is absolutely fine Certifications (not required, but strong bonuses): Microsoft Excel certifications Power BI Fundamentals or PL-300 (bonus) Microsoft Dynamics Fundamentals Any data analytics certification (Google, Microsoft, Coursera, etc.)
Years of Experience:
0-2 years Willing to train the right person Any experience in: data entry, auditing, finance ops, CRM, billing, or contract review is helpful
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review contracts, assets, payment schedules, and finance amounts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify discrepancies caused by system migrations (e.g., missing assets, incorrect finance amounts, misaligned terms).
  • Investigate root causes of data inconsistencies by reviewing historical records, system logs, documents, and user entries.
  • Correct data issues directly in Microsoft Dynamics, Excel import files, and other required systems.
  • Perform manual contract cleanup tasks including data entry, validation, and cross-system comparisons.
  • Track recurring data issues and assist in designing preventive approaches and controls.
  • Assist with data governance workflows, ensuring proper naming conventions, required fields, and accuracy standards are consistently applied.
  • Collaborate with Contract Management, Finance, and IT teams to verify values, reconcile mismatches, and confirm booking correctness.
  • Support building Power BI dashboards used to monitor data quality and contract accuracy.
  • Assist in updating Power Automate flows, Power Pages forms, and data validation logic where needed.
  • Provide documentation and summaries of corrections made, issues found, and recommended process improvements.
  • Maintain a detail-oriented and investigative mindset while working through large data sets and contract histories.
  • Communicate findings clearly to supervisors and business stakeholders.
