Job Description

Therapy Source is a premier national therapy staffing provider in the educational sector, connecting therapists of all types with jobs that fit their desired work/life balance. The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for maintaining the active credentials of therapists on TSI assignments, managing the distribution and tracking of therapist and client contracts, and providing administrative support across all Credentialing Department functions. This position plays a critical role in ensuring provider compliance, data integrity, and the timely processing of placements in support of organizational operations.
Credentialing Specialist Primary Responsibilities:
Distributes and tracks the status of therapist and client contracts; maintains correspondence as needed throughout the process. Maintains and monitors credentials for all active providers, ensuring ongoing compliance with organizational and client requirements. Prepares the weekly Credential Report; contacts providers with expiring or expired credentials via phone and text, and demonstrates a measurable monthly reduction in past-due items. Reviews and verifies documentation submitted by providers for accuracy and completeness. Conducts follow-up with providers on outstanding credential items via email, telephone, and SMS in a professional and timely manner. Maintains and updates provider and client information across all organizational databases, including Bullhorn, RSM, Monday.com, and OIG Sanctions. Enters initial client billing rates and processes rate updates in Bullhorn with accuracy. Submits credentials and credential updates to clients in accordance with established timelines and procedures. Reviews and approves or rejects provider placements within 24 business hours. Generates company and state-required reports as directed by leadership. Assists with internal audit processes and performs e-filing and data entry tasks as required. Performs other duties as assigned in support of departmental goals. A successful Credentialing Specialist candidate will have : Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience. 1-2 years of administrative or data entry experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working within a CRM system, such as Bullhorn. Computer proficiency with the ability to learn new systems efficiently. High degree of accuracy with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to maintain professional, service-oriented relationships. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Compliance experience a plus Knowledge of special education and/or healthcare a plus.
