SCP is seeking an exceptional Research Data Specialist II who will be responsible for researching and providing strategic insights about the market presence, sales, and supply chains of consumer products sold in California, shaping the future of consumer safety. As a Research Data Specialist II you will have the opportunity to: Plan, design, and conduct market research studies to evaluate product markets, supply chains, sales data, and other sources of information to assist in the selection of Priority Products under the SCP regulations
Evaluate economic impact analyses in Alternatives Analysis reports submitted to DTSC and develop guidance materials to assist regulated entities in preparing Alternatives Analysis reports to ensure the quality of the analyses and compliance with Safer Consumer Products regulations
Conduct economic and fiscal analyses regarding the impacts on California businesses and the state government of proposed policies and regulations
Develop and apply software tools, models, and informatic approaches to collect, maintain, evaluate, visualize, and interpret large and complex data sets
Desirable Qualifications We Look For:
Knowledge of principles, practices, and tools related to market analysis and research, including economics, demographic studies, data collection and management, product markets, and supply chains
Experience in economic or fiscal analysis
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and analysts
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience You will find additional information about the job in the .
