Inova Sterile Processing is looking for a dedicated Sterile Processing Data Specialist to join the Team. This full-time role will be day-shift working Monday - Friday located in Fairfax, VA. The Data Specialist is responsible for collecting, entering, validating, and maintaining data used for clinical, operational, and/or regulatory reporting. This role supports data-driven decision-making by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of hospital data systems. Sterile Processing Data Specialist Responsibilities:

Accurately enter and update data in hospital databases, spreadsheets, and electronic systems. Maintain data integrity by performing regular audits and quality checks. Organize and file electronic and paper records in accordance with hospital policies. Assist in generating routine and ad hoc reports for internal departments and external agencies. Compile data for quality improvement, compliance, and performance tracking. Support data collection for surveys, audits, and accreditation processes. Work closely with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Respond to data-related inquiries and provide support for departmental projects. Communicate discrepancies or issues to appropriate staff for resolution. Conducts daily maintenance on all databases housed within the department. Maintains the structure and integrity of all data by performing regular quality checks. Performs data entry using database or spreadsheet software in a timely and accurate manner to facilitate the availability of data for quick analysis. May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Associate's Degree in related filed (or relevant experience in lieu of degree)

Experience:

1 year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous sterile processing experience preferred. Previous experience with data management and data entry preferred.
