About Our College Located just outside of Seattle, WA, Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) was founded in 1949, and is the only public institute of technology in the state of Washington. LWTech offers 12 bachelor's degrees , 42 associate degrees , and 70 professional certificates in 41 areas of study , including STEM-focused programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. LWTech serves the Eastside and is located within the city of Kirkland, which is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Washington. Summary The Enrollment Data Specialist serves as the primary administrator for student information systems, student records, enrollment reporting, and state compliance for High School Programs and partner organizations. This position manages enrollment, completion, graduation, transcript, and data reporting processes; ensures the accuracy, security, and integrity of student records; coordinates state and federal reporting requirements; provides technical support and training to staff and partner programs; and serves as the District Data Security Manager (DDSM). The position exercises independent judgment in interpreting regulations, maintaining compliance, and supporting functions that directly impact program accountability, funding, and student services. This exempt position reports to the Dean of Instruction, High School Programs . Administer and maintain the Student Information System (SIS) and related applications, including annual system setup, data validation, enrollment processing, withdrawals, completions, graduations, user access, and data integrations. Serve as District Data Security Manager (DDSM) and ensure the accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and security of student information. Monitor, validate, and report student data to meet local, state, and federal requirements. Coordinate weekly CEDARS submissions and corrective actions; prepare and submit monthly enrollment reports (P223), Open Doors reports, and other required reports to OSPI and external agencies. Develop and distribute enrollment, completion, performance, accreditation, grant, and program evaluation reports. Maintain and manage all student records, including enrollment, referral, attendance, transcript, graduation, completion, dismissal, and archival records. Process transcript requests, diploma requests, enrollment verifications, and records requests from students, schools, colleges, government agencies, and authorized third parties in compliance with FERPA and applicable regulations. Serve as the primary technical and data resource for LWTA high school programs and partner organizations. Provide training, guidance, and technical assistance on student records, state reporting, SIS procedures, and data quality standards. Analyze processes and data trends, recommend improvements, develop standard operating procedures, and implement efficient data management practices. Act as a liaison between LWTA and partner programs to ensure timely, accurate review and exchange of student information and documentation. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support enrollment management, compliance, program operations, and student success initiatives. Participate in application testing, implementation, and enhancement activities for systems utilized by OSPI, WSIPC, SBCTC, and other agencies. Represent the institution on college-wide, regional, and statewide committees, workgroups, and professional forums related to student information systems, enrollment reporting, and records management. Other duties as assigned At least two years of progressively responsible experience supporting high school or similar programs in the areas of program, data and funds management Knowledge of K-12 grading system; Ability to read and transcribe Washington State Transcripts Ability to respond to public inquiries with tact and efficiency Proficiency in Skyward (or other K-12) database management system Working knowledge of EDS applications Knowledge of OSPI guidelines related to best practices for data collection Knowledge of RCWs (Revised Code of Washington) and WACs (Washington Administrative Code) related to Open Doors Youth Reengagement (1418) An aptitude for seeing the big picture in order to provide budgetary support Ability to be maintain the Dean's confidence and handle confidential information discretely Salary is $5,805 per month. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. Working hours are typically 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday; teleworking is available 2-3 days per week.
