Job Description Under general supervision, performs data base administration in providing technical support to programming staff in data base programming, design, maintains data files through backup, restore, reorganization, and problem determination.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as database analyst for Dr. Danila's AI trials and funded projects Clinical Trials Research Data Analytics, Database Administration, and Reporting Create, maintain, and summarize datasets related to clinical trials, grant submissions, financial performance, staffing effort, timelines, and subject accrual. Develop and build dashboards, metrics, and reports to support investigators' decision-making on CTMS utilization, grant activity, funding status, and operational performance. Perform database administration functions, including system configuration, maintenance, data validation, backups, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Provide technical support and system oversight for platforms such as OnCore (CTMS), REDCap, HURON, internal databases, sample repository systems, Proposal Central, Datalens, Oracle, Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) systems, and other research-related applications. Ensure standardized, accurate, and timely data entry and reporting across research systems for investigators' projects. Design, build, and maintain databases (e.g., REDCap) to support study tracking, effort reporting, inventory management for biorepository, productivity metrics, billing, and compliance. Develop and optimize data workflows, study templates, and reporting structures to improve efficiency and accuracy. Maintain organized, accessible, and compliant study and grant data files in accordance with institutional, sponsor, and regulatory requirements. Execute and support institutional research systems (e.g., OnCore, PowerTrials, HURON) including training, reporting, and end-user support. Communicate and collaborate with investigators and research teams on complex studies, including projects involving large datasets and emerging methodologies such as AI. Partner with divisional leadership and cross-functional teams to support an integrated research enterprise and align workflows with organizational standards. Evaluate and refine program policies and operational processes to ensure alignment with institutional requirements and best practices. Apply advanced technical knowledge of systems, networking, and cybersecurity principles to safeguard research data and infrastructure. Support grant application development, preparation, tracking, and submission by managing data, timelines, and documentation. Track and manage Just-in-Time (JIT) submissions, ensuring completeness and accuracy of required materials. Oversee subaward data management, including initiation, tracking, budgeting, and documentation. Develop and maintain grant submission and study activation timelines to support efficient resource planning. Analyze research operations data to identify bottlenecks and improve submission efficiency, data quality, and compliance. Serve as the primary point of contact for data-related communications with sponsors, subaward institutions, investigators, and internal stakeholders. Build and maintain study protocol calendars, billing plans, and financial workflows within CTMS and REDCap systems. Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and institutional research objectives.Salary Range:
$60,835 - $98,855 Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required.
