ASAP Job Description :
Install and support overhead cable management systems, including basket tray and ladder rack infrastructure. Pull, route, dress, and secure copper and fiber optic cabling in commercial and data center environments. Terminate and test Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A cabling to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Assist with fiber optic cable installation, fusion splicing, termination, and testing for network infrastructure projects. Interpret construction drawings, cable schedules, and technical documentation to complete installations accurately. Maintain safe, organized, and efficient work areas while adhering to all job site safety requirements. Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects on schedule in fast-paced construction environments. Utilize hand tools, power tools, ladders, and scissor lifts to perform installations safely and efficiently. Experience working at heights and operating lifts for overhead cable installation and infrastructure work.
Additional Qualifications:
Bulk fusion splicing experience involving approximately 6,900 feet of 12-strand fiber optic cable. Knowledge of structured cabling systems and data center infrastructure. Experience troubleshooting and testing fiber optic networks using industry-standard equipment. Familiar with OSHA safety practices and construction site protocols. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work in various environments.
