In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining critical telecommunications and networking systems within our data centers. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity, reliable power systems, and secure communication networks that support our global operations. Duties Install, configure, and test telecommunications systems including fiber optic cabling, structured cabling, and network wiring such as Cat5, Cat6, and low-voltage electrical wiring. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on network equipment like Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and Avaya communication systems to ensure optimal performance. Conduct fiber splicing, cable termination, and cable management to support high-speed data transmission across the data center infrastructure. Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, telecommunications testing equipment, and RF testers to identify faults and resolve equipment issues swiftly. Support the installation of telecommunication systems including VoIP solutions, radio frequency (RF) testing, and telephony hardware to enhance communication capabilities. Assist with power systems maintenance involving AC/DC electrical systems and backup power supplies to guarantee uninterrupted operations. Collaborate with field service teams during on-site installations or repairs, providing excellent customer service and technical support throughout all phases of projects. Skills Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, Ethernet protocols, and network cabling standards. Hands-on experience with fiber optic systems installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, telecommunications testers, and RF testing equipment for accurate fault detection. Familiarity with telecommunication systems including VoIP platforms like Avaya and telephony hardware setup. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams related to structured cabling and network wiring installations. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools necessary for cable termination, equipment repair, and electrical work. Knowledge of low-voltage electrical wiring standards (Cat5/Cat6), network wiring practices, and cable management techniques. Experience working with Cisco routers, Juniper devices, or similar networking hardware in a data center environment. Understanding of telecommunications testing procedures for verifying system integrity and performance. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently using diagnostic tools while maintaining safety protocols.
