Full Job Description Overview We are seeking an experienced SQL DBA to provide ticket-based support for Azure SQL and Microsoft Fabric data environments. The role is responsible for responding to, triaging, and resolving database incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment, is comfortable working with clients, and is interested in delivering high-quality work. Key Responsibilities Monitor, triage, and resolve database support tickets (incidents, service requests, change requests) Administer and support Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and on-premises SQL Server Support Fabric workloads including Lakehouses, Warehouses, and Data Pipelines Perform routine DBA tasks including performance tuning, index maintenance, backup and restore, patching, and capacity monitoring Troubleshoot query performance issues, blocking and deadlocks, and connectivity issues Apply security best practices including RBAC, access reviews, and encryption configurations in Azure Provide clear ticket documentation and stakeholder updates Escalate complex issues and contribute to root cause analysis Proactively using Gen AI and Agents at every step of the SDLC to improve quality and speed Required Skills & Experience 3 - 8 years SQL Server DBA experience Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database and/or Azure SQL Managed Instance Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Pipelines, Shortcuts) Strong T-SQL skills, execution plan analysis, and performance tuning Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or similar observability tools Familiarity with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) Strong written communication skills Desirable Qualifications Microsoft certifications (DP-300, DP-600, or equivalent) Experience with CI/CD pipelines for database deployments Knowledge of Power BI and integration with
