Occasional domestic and international travel Job Summary We are seeking a Physical Security Engineer to support daily physical security operations at a data center in Sterling, Virginia and Sunnyvale. This role is responsible for coordinating on-site security personnel, managing access-control procedures, inspecting CCTV and other security systems, responding to security incidents, and maintaining security documentation. This is a physical security position, not a cybersecurity role . Key Responsibilities Coordinate the daily operations and scheduling of on-site security personnel. Manage visitor registration, identity verification and access-control procedures. Monitor entrances, exits and restricted areas to prevent unauthorized access. Conduct routine inspections of CCTV, access-control systems and other security equipment. Identify camera blind spots, equipment failures and physical security risks. Respond to unauthorized access, asset loss and other security incidents. Support CCTV and access-control installation or replacement projects. Maintain inspection records, incident reports and security equipment inventories. Support security training, emergency drills and compliance audits. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors and security service providers. Travel to other data center locations as needed to support security inspections, audits and related projects. Qualifications Two or more years of experience in physical security, security operations or a related field. Experience with CCTV, access-control systems or security personnel management. Strong communication, coordination and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and respond appropriately to security incidents. Ability to work on-site in Sterling, VA 20166. Availability for emergency or after-hours support when required. Ability to travel occasionally within the United States and internationally. Data center, critical facility or industrial-site experience is preferred. Mandarin Chinese communication ability is preferred but not required. Travel Requirements Occasional domestic and international travel may be required. Trips are generally short, typically lasting two to three days, and total travel is not expected to exceed 30 days per year.
