As our company continues to rely on data to support daily operations and business decision-making, we seek the professional services of a Database Administrator to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of the company's database systems supporting day-to-day operations. The Database Administrator focuses on implementing, monitoring, and maintaining database systems to ensure reliable performance, data accuracy, security, and availability. The Database Administrator will assist in analyzing database structures, supporting system integrations, and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and data integrity across the organization. The hired individual will be responsible for the following duties: Database System Design and Implementation (50%)
- Design and implement database systems that support core business platforms, including order management systems, inventory management systems, accounting software, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Develop and provide feedback about our operational databases capabilities in order to support order tracking, inventory coordination, and the organization of technical documentation, drawings, and product certifications.
- Implement and maintain database storage, backup, and recovery procedures to ensure data availability and protection against data loss.
- Monitor and analyze database performance, data accuracy, and system reliability, identifying issues such as inefficiencies, inconsistencies, or errors and recommending corrective actions.

- Review and support database scripts, queries, and reports used for routine business operations, reporting, and internal analysis.
- Assist management by providing technical input on database performance improvements, system updates, and data usage best practices.
- Analyze database usage patterns and system logs to identify performance trends, capacity needs, and opportunities for optimization.
- Provide ongoing technical support for database-related issues, assisting internal users with data access, reporting accuracy, and system functionality. Database Security, Data Integrity, and Technical Compliance Support (20%)
- Analyze company databases containing operational records, financial data, logistics information, and client data, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with internal policies.
- Review and maintain database security controls, including user access permissions and data protection measures, to safeguard sensitive and proprietary information.
- Ensure database usage aligns with company standards and policies, supporting secure data handling and responsible system use.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer and information technology, cybersecurity, or another closely related field;
- 6 months of work experience supporting a company's IT systems (including administering CRM platforms), including system data management.
- Proficiency in Git, JavaScript, and MS Excel.
