  • About the Role The DBA will be responsible for the performance, availability, security, and reliability of the company's database environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong Microsoft SQL Server and Azure background who enjoys working in a growing, technology-driven organization. Responsibilities Manage, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases across production and development environments. Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively identify opportunities for optimization. Manage database backups, restores, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions. Support and administer databases hosted in Microsoft Azure, including Azure SQL and related database services. Perform database upgrades, migrations, patching, and configuration changes. Develop and maintain database security, access controls, and permissions. Partner with developers, infrastructure, and IT teams to support applications and resolve database-related issues. Assist with database architecture, capacity planning, and scalability as the company continues to grow. Implement monitoring, alerting, and performance-tuning best practices. Participate in projects involving cloud migration, system integrations, and technology modernization. Qualifications 3+ years of professional DBA experience. Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based database environments. Strong understanding of SQL, database performance tuning, indexing, and troubleshooting. Experience with database backup, recovery, security, and disaster recovery processes. Experience supporting production environments with high availability and uptime requirements. Strong understanding of Windows Server and the broader Microsoft technology ecosystem. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work collaboratively with development and infrastructure teams. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. U.S. Citizenship required.
