Nesco Data Center is seeking a Data Center Hands in the Greater Haymarket-Manassas Park Area. Data Center Smart Hands / Asset Inventory Technician Job Description Seeking a Data Center Smart Hands / Asset Inventory Technician to support an onsite staging and triage area within a data center. The technician will be responsible for physically identifying, documenting, labeling, and accounting for IT equipment and assets located within the staging area. Responsibilities Perform physical inventory and asset accounting of IT equipment and components. Open boxes, unbox equipment, and identify assets requiring documentation. Record asset information including serial numbers, asset IDs, device types, models, and quantities . Apply or verify asset/barcode labels as required. Document rack, location, port, or other relevant equipment information . Perform barcode scanning and data entry using provided systems or inventory tools. Organize and stage equipment to facilitate accurate inventory and identification. Identify discrepancies, missing information, or unidentified equipment and report findings. Follow data center security, safety, handling, and inventory procedures. Maintain an accurate and organized staging/triage area throughout the engagement. Qualifications Previous data center, smart hands, IT asset management, or hardware inventory experience preferred. Comfortable handling servers, network equipment, storage devices, and other IT hardware. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document asset information. Comfortable working with barcode scanners, spreadsheets, and basic inventory systems. Ability to lift, move, unpack, and organize IT equipment as required. Professional, reliable, and able to work independently in a controlled data center environment.
Engagement Estimated Duration:
1-2 weeks initially, with the potential to extend based on the volume of assets requiring discovery, inventory, labeling, and barcode scanning.

Onsite Data Center / Staging & Triage Area.
