Must have the ability to hold an Occupational License as required by the Illinois Gaming Board. Bachelor's degree in business required, Marketing degree preferred. Three to Five (3-5) years' experience in managing data driven marketing campaigns, yield management and program analysis preferred. Must be proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word and Graphical presentations, experience with Access a plus. Must have strong skills in analysis, preparing spreadsheets and budgeting. Understanding of casino player tracking systems and database management systems including redemption systems. Possessing excellent skills in project and people management, communicating and writing. Presentation skills necessary. Knowledge of multiple systems that support business objectives from both a property and brand perspective, specifically, WINet, CMS, Sequel AS/400, Business Objects and Hotel and Events Management Systems, Microsoft Office Software including Excel, Word and Access preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the development and growth of the customer database by supervising direct mail initiatives and direct marketing programs. Oversee the development of new marketing systems, policies and procedures. Manage outside agencies and mail houses to ensure timely and precise program execution. Familiarization with all Harrah's brand programs and systems and provides input to improve Brand direct marketing efforts. Maintain compliance with policies and procedures. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. Presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages other to do the same. Assure exceptional customer service to all patrons by communicating in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner always. Serves as key user on the Winner's Information Network (WINet), Marketing Workbench, Offers and other business intelligence systems.
HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE
EXTRAORDINARY- Manages the creative and production of direct mail lists, e-mail lists, telemarketing lists and all tasks associated with the production of lists and offers. Supports the Direct Marketing Manager with quality control of the production of direct marketing projects. Proactively monitors production spoilage and proposes plans for the reduction of spoilage, leading to the increased efficiency of the direct marketing efforts Responsible for creating and/or updating the Direct Marketing reports, schedule, calendar and schematic (matrices). Manages the creation/execution/communication of "offers" generated through the Offers Maintenance application. Supervising training of key personnel on new systems, policies and procedures. Ensure employees know how their job contributes to the success of the company; clearly communicates and enforces company expectations including policies and procedures. Motivates, guides and supports the team; keeps team abreast of strategy and objectives to ensure delivery of accurate results. Assists in the development and execution of effective prospective and retention marketing programs. Evaluates effectiveness of Direct Marketing efforts and makes recommendations for best use and/ or change. Offer design, list segmentation including test and control & database utilization to best support marketing objectives. Evaluates and inputs all marketing customer list requests to ensure most effective processing and capturing all audiences. Developing and maintaining policies, procedures and standards relating to database management and monitors transaction activity. Responsible for security of customer information and property data. Handles Brand Direct Marketing programs and tasks as well as has an understanding of cross-property Marketing goals. Produces timely analysis reports to determine the profitability of Direct Marketing programs. Serves as contact for other property departments on direct mail issues. Taking a proactive role in developing strategic use of existing information processes, as well as evaluating potential uses of new processes. Consulting and advising users of existing data collection sources available, their contact and support business objectives. Manage ad hoc data requests by authorized departments and for analysis outside Database Marketing. Act as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's A thorough understanding of the property Marketing goals required Proven ability to work with management on strategic development issues. Gathers and disseminates the production specification of projects and the deadlines, as well as the vendors' resources and limitations. Supports the Direct Marketing Manager with the accuracy of the lists and their segmentation based on provided criteria, offer assignments, letter versions, coding and the timely communication and delivery to the mail house(s).
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS- PHYSICAL
- Must be able to: Be mobile to move reasonably quickly throughout the casino, up and down stairs frequently. Walk and stand for long periods of time. Operate a computer with manual dexterity and with reasonable accommodation. See to operate a computer screen to verify customer service analysis reports, read written instructions, memoranda, job description, etc. Tolerate noisy, smoky, stressful environment. Lift a minimum of 20 pounds. Hear well enough to respond to P.A. system, radio, etc. Can be augmented with a hearing aid. Use the telephone and radio to communicate. Climb stairs repeatedly.
MENTAL- Must be able to:
Must be able to read, write and speak. Have basic statistical math skills. Understand and comply with all policies and procedures, job description, daily memorandums, and other instructions. Must be able to understand and communicate verbally and written with management, staff and guests. Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
