SUMMARY The Data Center Technician I plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational excellence and cleanliness standards of our controlled environments. This position is not only about keeping areas visually clean but ensuring that all surfaces, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors, are meticulously maintained to meet the strict guidelines of cleanliness required in a data center setting.

Travel & Flexibility Expectations Road & Air Ready:
Candidates must be comfortable, willing, and able to drive 3+ hours to job sites or board a flight to reach required destinations on short notice.
Operational Adaptability:
Candidates must be highly flexible as each facility (Meta, Microsoft, Google, QTS) has unique security criteria, safety protocols, and operational processes. They must be able to pivot quickly to meet site-specific standards.
The Road Warrior Element:
The majority of the role is mobile. They will be dispatched from their base sites to various data center hubs to support ongoing operations. Travel & Background Checks Driver History Check (MVR): Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record to satisfy insurance and travel requirements for Controlled.
Standard Background & Drug Screen:
Must meet the entry requirements for Tier 1 data center sites (Google, Meta, Microsoft, QTS).
Card Registrations:
Must be willing to register for and carry a Fintwist Pay-card (for per diem) and a CLC Card for company provided lodging. Team Player

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform cleaning operations under strict guidelines. Continually monitor the cleaning procedures to ensure all cleaning is completed promptly and correctly. Responsible for participating in continuous training: Data Center, technical skills, safety, performance improvement. Normal duties include but are not limited to micro-cleaning all surfaces within the general & critical environment including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors. The ability to follow customer standard operating procedures in precise detail including documentation. Identify deviations in cleaning and follow through on corrective and preventative actions (variances). Review change to SOP/SOW documentation and re-train. Assist in the cross training of other Controlled Contamination Services personnel. All other duties as defined by supervisor. Must become familiar with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements. Ability to learn and understand Scope of Work & Standard Operating Procedures Ability to maintain confidentiality. EXPERIENCE
. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Required to spend on-the-job time on the following physical activities: Stand Walk Lift/Climb Talk/Hear Use hands to finger, handle or feel. Reach with hands or arms. The Weight or Force requirement in this position is: Up to 40 pounds.
