Job Description

Job Title:
Data Center Technician Location:
New Carlisle , IN (100% Onsite, 5 Days/Week)
Type:
6+ Month's Contract(Possible Extension/Conversion)
Pay Range:
$20 -$24/hr
Infrastructure & Deployment:
Monitor incoming tickets, project requests, and change orders. Plan and implement assigned projects following established processes and standards. Estimate project requirements including time, resources, and cost. Follow all change management procedures throughout project execution.
Physical Network & Hardware Work:
Deploy and maintain structured cabling and network hardware. Work hands-on with vendors for installations and ensure quality of work. Troubleshoot cabling, network connections, and physical components during deployment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with Network TPMs, engineers, and internal teams. Provide clear and timely updates to all stakeholders. Stay current with new technologies, hardware, and process updates.
Safety & Standards:
Maintain strict adherence to safety, security, and data center operational standards. Lift, rack, and move equipment weighing up to 40 lbs as required.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of cabling and networking experience. 1+ year of experience working in a data center environment (or similar hands-on hardware environment). Basic understanding of IT hardware, servers, and network components. Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals. Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 lbs safely. Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed work instructions.
