Job Description

ISP Inspector -
South Bend, IN Role:
We are seeking an ISP Inspector to support a large-scale Data Center buildout project in the Greater South Bend, Indiana market. This role is responsible for inspecting and monitoring Inside Plant (ISP) construction activities to ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with client and company standards. The ISP Inspector will oversee field construction quality, installation practices, and contractor performance across structured cabling, fiber installation, and ISP infrastructure activities within the data center environment. This is a field-based role with daily local travel only. Responsibilities Inspect ISP construction and installation activities for compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Monitor contractor work related to:
Fiber installation and routing Structured cabling Rack and equipment installation Cable tray and pathway systems ISP infrastructure within data center environments Verify workmanship, installation quality, and adherence to safety standards. Identify deficiencies, document findings, and track corrective actions through completion. Conduct site walks and provide updates to project management and construction leadership. Review construction drawings, technical documentation, and project standards. Ensure contractors comply with OSHA, site safety, and client-specific requirements. Maintain accurate inspection documentation, reports, and project records. Coordinate with construction managers, project teams, and subcontractors to support successful project delivery. Utilize company-provided tools, laptop, software, and PPE while performing field activities. Qualifications 2-3+ years of experience in telecommunications, ISP, structured cabling, or construction inspection. Experience supporting ISP or data center construction projects preferred.
Strong understanding of:
ISP construction practices Fiber optic installation Structured cabling systems Data center infrastructure Ability to read and interpret blueprints, prints, and technical documentation. Comfortable working in active construction and data center environments. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a field-based role. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be able to pass:
Standard criminal background check Secondary/background clearance requirements Additional Information Daily travel within the Greater South Bend market area. All required tools, PPE, laptop, and software will be provided. This position supports a major data center construction initiative with long-term project potential.
Pay:
Up to $35.00 per hour
