Office with occasional field support Position Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented Post-Sales Engineer to bridge the gap between the winning bid and successful project execution. This role owns submittals, shop drawings, BOM accuracy, and material validation to ensure what was bid is what gets purchased and installed. The right person prevents costly mistakes downstream and sets PMs and field teams up for success. Key Responsibilities Prepare and manage all submittals and shop drawings for structured cabling, fiber, pathways, and low-voltage systems. Prepare run sheets and labels for projects. Thoroughly review the original estimate/BOM and verify all part numbers, quantities, manufacturers, and specifications are accurate and available. Ensure purchased materials exactly match the approved submittals and contract documents. Identify discrepancies between the bid BOM and project requirements; coordinate with estimating, PMs, and vendors to resolve before ordering. Produce accurate material release plans aligned with project schedule and phasing. Perform weekly site visits to large projects to perform quality control (QC) for scope, schedule and quality adherence. Maintain revision control on submittals, RFIs, and as-builts. Support PMs with technical clarifications, change order takeoffs, and value engineering when needed. Work closely with vendors on product data, lead times, and substitutions. Help maintain company standards for submittals, shop drawings, and material approval processes. Lead project close out by leading the assembly of deliverables including as-built drawings, verifying that test results are complete and accurate and obtaining manufacturer warranties as required for project close out. Required Qualifications 4+ years of experience in telecom/low-voltage post-sales engineering, project engineering, or detailed submittals work. Strong technical knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics (including high-density solutions like AFL Polimods), pathways, racks, and testing requirements. Experience with Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD or similar for shop drawings. Experience with Microsoft Visio as needed for detail drawings. Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret complex plans, specs, and contract documents. Preferred Qualifications BICSI RCDD or other ICT certifications. Prior data center or mission-critical project experience. Familiarity with cost codes, material tracking systems, and procurement processes. What Success Looks Like Zero major material mismatches between bid, submittals, and field purchases. Clean, timely submittal packages that get approved quickly. PMs receive accurate, phased BOMs that support proactive (not reactive) material ordering. Significant reduction in expedites, wrong material on site, and related margin erosion. Smooth, timely and complete deliverable package submission and approval.
