IMS/IDMS DBA
Introduction:
The
IMS/IDMS DBA
will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications using IMS DB/TM and IDMS. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of the databases and applications within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Designing and developing applications using IMS DB/TM and IDMS Ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of the databases Collaborating with developers, analysts, and other team members to understand requirements and implement solutions Troubleshooting and resolving database issues Performing database tuning and optimization Participating in the full software development lifecycle Following Agile methodologies for development and project management
Requirements:
Required Skills:
Experience as an
IMS/IDMS DBA
Proficiency in COBOL and JCL Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in an Agile environment
