September 14, 2026 Position Purpose The Michigan Parkinson Foundation (MPF) is seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Hopeline and Database Coordinator to support individuals and families living with Parkinson's disease across Michigan. This position is a key point of contact for individuals seeking support through the MPF Hopeline. The role combines intake, resource navigation, participant support, and program coordination with data entry, documentation, database management, and program tracking. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating with individuals and families, managing sensitive information, maintaining accurate records, working independently, and balancing client needs with administrative responsibilities. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while supporting MPF's programs and services across Michigan. Roles and Responsibilities Hopeline & Intake Manage the MPF Helpline (aka Hopeline), answering incoming calls, emails and walk-ins inquiries. Complete intake and identify needs to connect individuals and families with appropriate MPF programs, community resources, and supportive services. Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential documentation of participant interactions, referrals, and services provided. Data Entry Enter and maintain accurate client and donor information within MPF's database. Maintain organized and up-to-date records, referrals, and follow-up activities. Track program participation, geographic reach, referral sources, services provided, and other program metrics. Assist with data collection, program evaluation, and reporting. Program Support & Community Engagement Assist with outreach, educational programming, respite programs, resource development, and special projects. Collaborate with MPF staff, community partners, healthcare professionals, and other service providers. Help identify community resources and opportunities that may benefit individuals and families affected by Parkinson's disease. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social work, human services or related field. LMSW supervision is available as part of the position for eligible candidates working toward licensure. Experience providing support, resource navigation, intake, or referral services. Experience working with databases, electronic records, or data management systems. Highly organized team-player. Skilled at learning new systems. Independent worker who can take new projects.
Proficient computer skills:
Microsoft Office applications including Excel, other databases. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Active listening and interpersonal skills. Organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
