Iron Mountain is seeking a vision-driven Data Center Eradication Technician to join our Data Center Operations team. In this role, you'll play a key part in advancing our circular data center model by directly managing media sanitization and hardware lifecycle processes for one of our highest-profile technology clients. By safely executing device destruction, tracking chain of custody, and maintaining rigorous inventory standards, your daily expertise will ensure critical data remains completely secure while supporting sustainable, next-generation infrastructure. Here, your precision and collaborative spirit will help drive seamless operational standards across a high-velocity environment. •This role is on-site in Rosemount, MN.•What You'll Do (Responsibilities) in this role, you will: + Manage daily sanitization and physical destruction processes: Safely destroy storage devices while maintaining precise logical tracking and chain of custody records. + Coordinate inventory and vendor workflows: Oversee device pickup, maintain eradication workspace organization, and reconcile destroyed media across internal tracking systems. + Drive continuous process improvements: Collaborate on updated playbooks, document policies, and participate in operational syncs to capture key action items. + Resolve operational discrepancies: Troubleshoot physical and logical inventory variances while meeting strict service level agreements (SLAs). + Facilitate secure site logistics: Handle intercampus transportation of storage media and partner with global teams on upcoming technical innovations and side projects. What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications) the ideal candidate will have: + 1+ years of experience in data center environments, inventory management, or PC/server hardware repair. + Strong technical comfort with operating systems (Windows/Mac OS) and task tracking or productivity suites. + Demonstrated ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs and navigate a fast-paced physical workspace. + High School Diploma (or equivalent) and a valid driver's license with the ability to travel up to 10% to support regional sites. + US Citizenship or Permanent Residency, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Reasonably expected salary range:
$56,600.00 - $70,700.00 •Please note that an employee's starting salary may vary based on a variety of factors. Where State, Municipal, Provincial, Territorial or other legal minimum wages exceed the federal minimum wage, employees are entitled to the higher rate.•
