Job Details
IDR is seeking a Senior DBA. The role involves performing database performance analysis, creating indexes, optimizing queries, analyzing database plans, and supporting database activities for the go-lives of various web applications. This remote position combines hands-on database management with collaboration and technical guidance, supporting complex SQL environments and large-scale data systems.
Position Overview for the
Senior DBA:
Perform database performance analysis and tuning to optimize query execution and overall system efficiency.
Create and modify database objects such as tables, stored procedures, and indexes to support application needs.
Analyze database plans and troubleshoot issues using tools like SQL Server Management Studio, DataGrip, and SQL Sentry.
Support database activities during the deployment and go-live phases of web applications.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure database performance and stability.
Requirements for the
Senior DBA:
3+ years of demonstrated professional IT Systems DBA experience, with expertise in MS SQL 2025 or previous versions, Postgres, MongoDB, BigQuery, or other SQL/non-SQL databases.
Proficiency in writing and analyzing complex SQL queries involving extensive selects and joins.
Experience with database management tools such as SQL Server Management Studio, DataGrip, and SQL Sentry.
Ability to work independently and support database performance in large, complex environments.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Compensation:
