Job Description

Data Center / Lab Technician Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Data Center / Lab Technician for a 3-month contract to support engineering lab activities, including hardware installation, cabling, equipment movement, and lab documentation. Responsibilities Install racks, servers, network devices, and other lab hardware. Perform copper and fiber cabling, cable tracing, routing, and labeling. Read and understand topology drawings and rack layouts . Trace LVC (low-voltage cabling) and update/maintain documentation. Handle servers, network equipment, optics, and other hardware safely. Label equipment and cables accurately. Assist with equipment moves, inventory, and lab cleanup. Follow site safety, ESD, and security procedures. Qualifications Hands-on experience in a data center, engineering lab, or IT infrastructure environment . Ability to read topology/cabling drawings and trace physical connections. Familiarity with copper/fiber cabling, racks, servers, and network equipment. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to lift/move equipment and work on your feet for extended periods.
Pay:
Up to $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
