As a Database Developer Sr Principal, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our SOCOM Customer. As a Database Developer you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. You will play a key role in designing and maintaining Database and Business Intelligence application platforms.Education:
Technical training, certification(s), or degreeExperience:
8+ years of related experience Technical skills: Installation, configuration, administration, and management of Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008R2/2012 and SQL Reporting Services Deep understanding of database schema object management, data modeling, and architecture Strong SQL and Transact-SQL (T‑SQL) experience Experience with Hyper‑V virtual environments and SQL clustered environments Experience with SQL Server replication topologies Familiarity with Resource Governor, Tuning Advisor, SQL Profiler, and Windows Reliability and Performance Monitor Ability to implement and troubleshoot triggers, views, stored procedures, and data integrity constraints Security clearance level:TS/SCI US
citizenship required Role requirements: Facilitate, implement, monitor, and test database backups and recovery methodologies Monitor and optimize production SQL Server database performance Ensure database security, integrity, reliability, high availability, and disaster recovery Identify and troubleshoot database issues; analyze, design, build, test, and implement solutions Manage file system space, database allocation, disk usage, and plan for capacity and scalability Participate in monthly patching outside core business hours Strong communication skills, including technical writing Ability to work collaboratively across multiple IT teams Detail‑oriented with strong prioritization skills and commitment to deadlines Exceptional problem‑solving and decision‑making abilitiesGDIT IS YOUR PLACE

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
