Job Description Low Voltage Cabling Technician - Structured Cabling & Fiber Installation Omaha, NE Join Next Level Technician as a Low Voltage Cabling Technician in Omaha, NE. Responsibilities Install Cat6 network cabling and pre-terminated fiber optic cables (single-mode and multi-mode) in data center and commercial environments Work with both LC and MPO fiber connectors to support high-performance network infrastructure Dress, route, and organize cabling using industry-standard wire management practices, including cable trays, ladder racks, and J-hooks Rack and stack network switches, servers, and other IT hardware Accurately label cables, hardware, and pathways to maintain proper documentation and organization Read and interpret network diagrams, floor plans, blueprints, and project specifications Perform cable testing and verification as required Ensure all work is completed safely and meets quality standards Requirements Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in structured cabling, telecommunications, or data center environments Proven experience installing Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling systems Familiarity with LC and MPO fiber connectors Experience working in active data centers or mission-critical environments preferred Ability to read blueprints and follow installation standards
BICSI, OSHA
10/30, Lift, or manufacturer certifications are a plus Must have basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility vest, steel-toe boots) Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Reliable transportation to and from the job site Why Work with Next Level Technician?
