Job Description
Job Description A client is looking for a Data Center Technician to work onsite in a data center or lab environment handling large volumes of network equipment. Day to day responsibilities include unboxing devices, racking them appropriately, safely powering them on, connecting them to the network, and verifying basic connectivity. The role involves executing predefined steps and scripts provided by senior engineers, tracking how long devices remain powered on, and documenting all work performed using spreadsheets and internal systems. Once testing or validation is complete, the individual will power devices down, remove them from racks, and re‑box them for storage or shipment. This role is heavily physical in nature, with most of the effort focused on hands‑on equipment handling, organization, and accuracy. This person needs to be comfortable with pay in the $35-40/hr range based on level of experience. We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.
