Skills:
Server & Switch Installation Troubleshooting (L2 Support)
Testing & Validation Key Responsibilities:
Rack & stack servers, switches, and storage devices Perform fiber & Ethernet cabling, labeling, and management Diagnose issues, replace faulty hardware, and manage RMA Configure IPs, perform firmware upgrades, and validate systems Provide L1/L2 support and remote hands (power cycle, reseating, console access) Coordinate with network teams for connectivity and issue resolution Maintain inventory, asset tracking, and audit records Monitor alerts and update tickets via ITSM tools
Required Skills:
Networking fundamentals (IP, switching, routing basics) Server hardware (NIC, memory, drives) Fiber & Ethernet cabling ITSM tools (ServiceNow or similar) Console tools (SSH, PuTTY)
Soft Skills:
