Job Description Data Center Technician Reno, NV Join Next Level Technician as a Data Center Technician in Reno, NV . Earn $25
- 40/hr based on experience and skillset, enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and steady work with a national leader in low voltage and data center staffing.
Responsibilities:
Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center infrastructure and equipment Install and terminate Cat6 network cabling and pre-terminated fiber optic cables, including single-mode and multi-mode fiber Work with LC and MPO fiber connectors and high-density fiber systems Rack, stack, and install network switches, servers, and other data center hardware Perform cable management, including dressing and routing cables through cable trays, ladder racks, and other pathways Accurately label cables, equipment, and components to maintain organization and proper documentation Read and interpret data center layouts, network diagrams, technical drawings, and blueprints Assist with equipment moves, adds, changes, and hardware installations Troubleshoot connectivity and infrastructure issues as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Ensure all work is completed according to project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirementsRequirements:
Minimum 1 year of hands-on data center experience Experience working with network infrastructure, structured cabling, fiber optics, or data center hardware Familiarity with Cat6, fiber optic cabling, LC and MPO connectors Experience with rack and stack, cable management, or equipment installation preferred Ability to read and understand technical drawings, network diagrams, and data center layouts BICSI, Lift, OSHA, or other industry certifications are a plus Must have basic hand tools and required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, and steel-toe boots Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work in a fast-paced data center environment Willingness to travel to job sites within Nevada as needed Why Work with Next Level Technician in Reno, NV?
