Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with Data Center experience to support the design, development, and operation of mission-critical electrical infrastructure. This role focuses on power distribution, redundancy systems, and reliability for large-scale, high-availability data center facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and critical power systems, along with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities Design and engineer electrical systems for data centers, including: Medium- and low-voltage power distribution UPS systems Backup generators Switchgear and PDUs Grounding and bonding systems Develop and review construction documents, drawings, and specifications. Perform load calculations, short circuit studies, arc flash studies, and coordination studies. Support system commissioning, testing, and startup activities. Collaborate with mechanical, structural, and IT teams to ensure integrated facility design. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling. Provide technical support during construction and resolve field issues. Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings. Support ongoing operations, upgrades, and capacity expansions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 3+ years of experience in electrical design or engineering for data centers or mission-critical facilities. Experience with critical power systems and redundant infrastructure (N+1, 2N, etc.). Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and related electrical standards. Proficiency in design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT). Experience with hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data centers. Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability practices. Experience with commissioning and integrated systems testing. Familiarity with BIM and 3D modeling tools. Pay:
$85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
