Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Job Summary The Data Center Engineer 5 (QA/QC Engineer - MEP/Cx) is responsible for executing QA/QC and commissioning activities across data center construction projects. This mid-level field role supports commissioning levels L1-L5, ensuring equipment, systems, and documentation meet project quality standards. The role requires full-time onsite work with travel across U.S. project locations. Key Responsibilities Review MEP project drawings, specifications, and approved submittals Inspect incoming MEP equipment and complete receiving checklists Conduct preparatory phase meetings with subcontractors as required Review MEP mockups and validate readiness for installation Track QA/QC deliverables and testing documentation during L2 and L3 commissioning Ensure completion of inspection checklists for equipment and systems Perform FOD (Foreign Object Debris) inspections within MEP equipment Conduct final equipment inspections prior to L3 energization Verify startup reports and commissioning documentation are complete Assist with development of Methods of Procedure (MOPs) Manage documentation and reporting through Procore or related platforms Record, track, and resolve issues identified during walkthroughs and inspections Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and commissioning teams Required Qualifications 3-5 years of data center experience 2-5 years of QA/QC experience OSHA-30 Certification Experience with Procore and QA/QC documentation platforms Knowledge of commissioning processes (L1-L5) Experience with MOP development and equipment energization support Familiarity with NETA testing documentation, TAB, and Short Circuit Studies Ability to review construction drawings and technical submittals Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to travel 50-75% across the United States Self-starter mindset with strong safety awareness Preferred Qualifications
