Project Duration:

contract through December 2026 Position Overview In this position, you will support a large-scale data center infrastructure team by performing remediation work on proprietary fiber optic infrastructure across multiple data center campuses. This project involves installing grounding connectors on existing ICI fiber links to eliminate signal interference and improve system reliability. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, comfortable performing repetitive hands-on work, and able to maintain a high level of quality while working in a fast-paced data center environment. You will work alongside on-site infrastructure personnel who will provide day-to-day direction and quality validation throughout the project. Key Responsibilities Install grounding connectors on proprietary fiber optic infrastructure according to established procedures. Perform cable remediation work with a high level of precision and attention to detail. Follow all required training, documentation, and established work processes. Work across multiple data center buildings within the assigned metro area as needed. Safely handle fiber optic cables, connectors, and related hardware. Utilize hand tools and approved equipment to complete remediation tasks. Document completed work accurately using internal systems and tracking tools. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate project progress, issues, and completion status with on-site leads and project management. Support additional preventative maintenance or infrastructure-related activities as needed. Adhere to all site security, safety, and operational procedures. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, hardware installation, or a related technical field preferred. Experience using basic hand tools safely and effectively. Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions. Basic computer proficiency, including email and web-based applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a data center environment. Familiarity with fiber optic or structured cabling installations. Experience assembling or servicing server racks and related infrastructure. Previous experience supporting large-scale infrastructure projects. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
