In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing critical network and telecommunication equipment, ensuring seamless data flow and system reliability. Your expertise will help keep our infrastructure running smoothly, providing essential services to clients and users worldwide. This position offers an exciting opportunity for hands-on technical work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact operational success. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and VoIP systems to ensure optimal performance. Perform fiber splicing, cabling (Cat5, Cat6), and electrical wiring following schematics and NEC standards to support data center connectivity. Conduct routine inspections of computer hardware, telecommunication systems, and low voltage electrical components to identify issues proactively. Troubleshoot network problems using tools such as ohmmeters and service manuals; repair or replace faulty equipment swiftly to minimize downtime. Assist with CCTV system setup, monitoring, and maintenance to enhance security protocols within the data center environment. Support field service activities including site visits for equipment installation, upgrades, or repairs at various locations. Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, schematics, repair logs, and incident reports for compliance and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar field service role within data centers or telecommunications environments. Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet cabling, and telephony systems such as Avaya. Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, cable management (Cat5/Cat6), and low voltage electrical work adhering to NEC standards. Familiarity with Cisco routers, Juniper networking equipment, VoIP systems, and network installation procedures. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately; proficient with hand tools and power tools for equipment installation and repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Electrical experience including troubleshooting with ohmmeters and understanding of telecommunication wiring standards is highly desirable.
