Job Description

Nesco Resource is seeking a Data Center Audit Technician. Data Center Audit Technician We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Data Center Audit Technicians to assist with infrastructure inventory and rack-level equipment auditing within a live data center environment. This role is focused on manually documenting and verifying installed hardware within server racks. Technicians will move from rack to rack and device to device, recording equipment information and nomenclature accurately into provided documentation systems. This is a non-invasive audit role - no unracking, disconnecting, or physical modification of equipment will be performed. Responsibilities Perform rack-by-rack and device-by-device inventory audits within a data center environment Manually record equipment details, asset information, and device nomenclature using laptops Accurately document hardware locations and rack contents Verify visible equipment information and maintain detailed records Follow all data center safety, security, and access procedures Maintain professionalism and accuracy while working in a live production environment Communicate clearly with project leads and on-site personnel regarding progress and findings Requirements Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working inside a data center environment for extended periods Ability to accurately document technical equipment information manually Basic familiarity with server, network, and rack-mounted hardware terminology preferred Ability to use laptops and spreadsheet or documentation software efficiently Reliable attendance and punctuality Professional demeanor and ability to follow strict operational procedures Important Notes No scan guns or barcode scanners will be used All device information will be recorded manually No unracking, disconnecting, or physical manipulation of equipment is required Laptops will be required for documentation purposes Schedule Standard business hours Possible overtime depending on project scope and timeline This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong attention to detail who are interested in gaining experience within enterprise and data center environments.
