Job Description

Reports to:
Development Manager Essential Functions:
Manage all aspects of the Neon CRM donor database (timely and accurate gift entry, data hygiene, facilitating donor acknowledgement letters, running reports). Provide support as needed for external communications such as Annual Appeal, Annual Report, event announcements, email outreach, and website. Support organization's fundraising campaigns and events, social media and digital marketing, and event support as requested. Work with management and contractors to create marketing collateral, updating website copy as directed.
Scope:
The Development Associate is responsible for administration of CRM database of donations and acknowledgement correspondence. The Associate supports Development and Finance Department functions and initiatives, including, donor acknowledgments and special events.
Position Responsibilities:
Build proficiency in use of CRM software; ensure accuracy and timeliness of data entry, data hygiene and donation acknowledgement. Perform all aspects of donor database implementation. Pull targeted mailing lists/emails/reports for campaigns as requested. Provide administrative support as needed for external communications and other marketing deliverables created with assistance of Marketing contractor. Support management in working with Website contractor to update copy for programs and to support campaigns on www.laurelhouse.net and www.rtor.org. Reconcile processed donations with Finance Department. As part of the company team, provide support of several events: annual spring fundraiser; 5K fall Walk/Run; and occasional Sip & Shop fundraiser.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Bachelor's Degree preferred. 1-3 years of development experience preferred. Computer literacy in use of MS Word, MS Publisher, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, email, internet, and familiarity with standard database applications required. Experience with use of a CRM/donor database or fundraising software and event support. Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact on occasion with donors and sponsors, by email, in-person, and phone. Attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task. Ability to work independently and as a member of the team supporting Laurel House's mission. Experience in digital marketing and use of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 1-3 years working in fundraising and development. Must successfully pass the pre-employment drug test. Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Good command of English language. Experience/competence in use of CRM software.
Job Type:
Full-time in the Stamford, CT, office and lower Fairfield County area. 1 day per week work-from-home available, as coordinated with Development Department coverage; additional flexibility as needed. Support of two Saturday events is required (spring Annual Fundraiser and fall 5K Walk/Run). Early close (3:00PM) on Friday afternoons. $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
