Job Title:
Clinical Database Developer Job Description We are seeking a Clinical Database Developer to support the build, configuration, and maintenance of clinical trial databases in Medidata Rave EDC. This role involves working on complex studies due to the insourcing of databases previously built by Medidata. The transition from the architect module to the designer module in Medidata is underway, making designer training a valuable asset for candidates. Responsibilities Partner with Data Management, cross-functional clinical trial teams, and Clinical Data Standards and Integration to gather and document requirements for Medidata Rave EDC study builds, including CRF design, visit schedules, and data points. Configure Rave studies in Rave Architect, including eCRFs, codelists, subject matrices, edit checks, and derivations, aligning with applicable SOPs and standards. Ensure alignment between Rave study design and data collection standards, including
CDASH/CDISC
controlled terminology and internal standards. Ensure study designs are in alignment with the data review platform. Support database User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for standard and study-specific Rave builds, including test script execution and defect resolution. Manage change control and deployments for protocol amendments and mid-study updates, tracking build progress and timelines. Collaborate with Biometrics System Administrators, Digital Technical Services, and vendors to support Rave environment configuration, access, and integrations, such as IRT, ePRO, and central labs. Essential Skills Data analysis and management Experience in clinical research Proficiency in Medidata Rave EDC/Rave Architect Experience with Rave Safety Gateway and TSDV Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Information Systems, Life Sciences, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent technical experience. 10+ years of database build experience in Medidata Rave EDC/Rave Architect, including creating eCRFs, visit schedules, codelists, edit checks, derivations, and custom functions. Expertise in Medidata Rave applications such as TSDV, Lab Admin, and RSG. Work Environment This position offers a remote work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cambridge, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
