Your impact We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer- Data Center to join our Kuala Lumpur office and support the design, delivery, and commissioning of mission‑critical data center facilities. This role plays a key part in ensuring resilient, efficient, and code‑compliant electrical systems that support continuous operations and critical digital infrastructure. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, mechanical, controls, and client stakeholders, contributing technical leadership across all project phases from concept design through construction and commissioning. Key Responsibilities:
Design and analyze low‑ and medium‑voltage power systems, including UPS and emergency power systems, grounding, and lighting, to deliver resilient and energy‑efficient data‑center operations. Act as a senior technical contributor, ensuring electrical designs align with project requirements, applicable standards, and client expectations. Develop electrical power distribution designs, including LV/MV systems, UPS, emergency power, grounding, and lighting. Perform load analysis, equipment sizing, and electrical studies including short‑circuit, protection coordination, and system performance assessments. Design and engineer data‑center electrical systems such as generators, UPS architectures, power monitoring, and redundancy configurations. Manage technical quality, scope, budget, and schedule; review design packages, calculations, and vendor submittals for compliance with design intent. Coordinate with internal project teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration with mechanical, structural, and controls systems. Support construction activities, commissioning, testing, and start‑up of electrical systems. Engage with clients, contractors, and authorities during design development and site activities to resolve technical issues and deliver project objectives Here's what you'll need Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) license. Minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in electrical engineering design, with senior‑level accountability on complex projects. Strong experience designing power distribution and low‑voltage electrical systems for large or technically complex facilities. Working knowledge of
NEC / NFPA
70 and relevant international electrical standards. Proficiency in Revit/BIM tools for coordination and production of design deliverables. Desired experience & skills: Experience with data-center power topologies, redundancy and energy-efficiency.
