Job Description
Senior Oracle DBA
Install, setup & configure Oracle 19c or later versions of databases.
Administer and troubleshoot Oracle databases including security patching, SQL tuning, capacity planning, and schema design.
Create database users and support password maintenance and user access issues.
Perform Oracle Grid Control installation, configuration (Monitoring and Provisioning), patching and maintenance.
Perform backup and recovery procedures using RMAN.
Implement, maintain, and monitor Data Guard.
Write UNIX shell and Windows power shell, SQL scripts for Oracle software and patch installations.
Manage/Own complex tasks requiring cross-team and cross-agency coordination.
Perform Disaster recovery exercise to support Business resiliency initiatives.
Install Oracle Enterprise Manager and set up monitoring and reporting of Database infrastructure health.
Perform Oracle database tuning to achieve performance objectives.
Install PSU Patches for Oracle database regularly to keep Oracle database infrastructure healthy.
Provide excellent customer support by addressing incident tickets, ServiceNow requests and Change requests in a timely manner.
Create and implement database security standards and procedures on the oracle infrastructure.
Create scripts to perform oracle backups directly to AWSS3 buckets automatically and perform syncing the data to cross region s3 buckets.
Help set up monitoring of Oracle databases using AWS CloudWatch.
Carry out capacity optimization and planning of databases infrastructure.
Install and configure SQL Server databases and perform tunning and other tasks.
Install and configure AWS RDS database instances.
Prepare databases procedural documentation and maintain documents up to date to ensure they are relevant.
