Key responsibilities:
Operational Database Administration of University systems DBA support for Application upgrades Performance Monitoring and Optimization Disaster recovery and data protectionWhat We're Looking For:
Oracle Database experience such as Oracle Certified Associate ( OCA ) or demonstrated equivalent experience required, Oracle Certified Professional ( OCP ) or demonstrated equivalent experience preferred. Skills include architecture, RAC , Data Guard, ASM , Grid Infrastructure, and RMAN backup/recovery in a Linux environment. SQL Server and MySQL experience are a plus. Proficiency inSQL , PL/ SQL
, with strong performance tuning and query optimization skills, and analytical and root cause analysis skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills, ability to develop and maintain technical documentation and standards. Why Join Us? Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor's degree in a job-related field and 3 or more years of job-related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job-related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Oracle certification ( OCA or OCP ) preferred. Job Duties Job Duty Provide Oracle database support for ERP and other enterprise systems including code promotion, application upgrades, application patching, and security patching. Assist developers and analysts with SQL performance issues and data-related troubleshooting. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases in production and non-production environments. Perform routine maintenance and ensure compliance with institutional IT standards. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Monitor database performance and system health. Troubleshoot database issues, analyze logs, and resolve incidents in coordination with application and infrastructure teams. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Perform and monitor backups using RMAN . Assist in administration and monitoring of RAC and Data Guard environments. Support disaster recovery processes and testing activities. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Maintain database documentation including procedures, license adherence, configurations, and recovery processes. Ensure adherence to security and data governance standards.
