Support data center installations by building racks, installing equipment, and working with copper and fiber cabling. In this hands-on role, you'll also perform fiber testing and troubleshooting, inspect rack installations, and assist with cooling system components. This role is suited to a technician with data center experience who can work independently on moderately complex installation tasks. You'll follow technical procedures, help resolve issues, and support safe, high-quality deployments. Required Skills & Experience Data center experience, including basic rack-and-stack and equipment installation. Basic copper and structured cabling experience. Ability to read rack layouts, cabling diagrams, and installation procedures. Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of data center safety practices. Ability to perform physical installation work and work a shift schedule. Desired Skills & Experience Experience using a Fluke tester or similar fiber testing equipment. Experience with rack inspections, hose fastening checks, manifold installation, or component swap-outs. Familiarity with PDUs, power feeds, and rack-level power distribution. Exposure to airflow management, DX cooling, or direct-to-chip liquid cooling. Experience guiding junior technicians or coordinating installation work. What You Will Be Doing Build racks and install server, storage, and network equipment according to design documentation. Perform pre- and post-installation rack inspections, including checks of cabling, labeling, and installation quality. Install, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling using appropriate testing tools. Support power connections and cooling work, including hose fastening, manifold installation, and liquid-cooling checks. Complete component swap-outs and troubleshoot installation issues; resolve or escalate problems as appropriate. Follow safety procedures, maintain organized work areas, and document progress and deviations.

Pay:

$29.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
