Job Description

Summary of Position:
The Project Engineer will help design, integrate and implement telecommunications and data communication technology systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Determine telecommunication and data technology needs by examining existing infrastructure
  • Design and lead implementation of data communication technology in new buildings
  • Ensure efficient, safe and code compliant cabling infrastructure in data centers
  • Manage RFI's and assist in submittals
  • Oversee the installation of cabling projects from design to completion to meet industry standards
  • Work with all project stakeholders to ensure cohesive function and design per contract requirements
  • Improve personal, technical, and supervisory skills through personal development plans and offered training
  • Represent and promote the company's mission, vision, and values
  • Safety training as required by position
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Essential Education and Qualifications:
  • High School education or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • MUST have RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) Certification
  • Understanding of fiber optics test parameters (ORL, IRL, CD, PMD, etc.) and fiber optics theory
  • Previous data technology experience and management experience preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to use computers/electronic devices
  • Able to read blueprints and follow job specifications and orders
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
