Job Description

Overview We are a leading data center operator with 11 operating centers across Texas, South, and North Carolina. As a pioneer in our field, we are constantly expanding with several centers currently under construction. We are part of a larger international group, solidifying our position as a top player in the global marketplace.
Job Summary :
1099 position We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technician to join our team in deploying and maintaining our cryptocurrency mining infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role involves the physical installation of mining computers (miners), data management, and the use of standard hand and power tools.
Responsibilities:
Physical Installation:
Install mining computers (miners) into designated shelving units, ensuring proper alignment and stability. Safely lift and maneuver miners, which typically weigh up to 30-40 lbs, throughout the installation process. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Mechanical Tasks:
Utilize standard hand tools, including drills, hammers, wire strippers, and screwdrivers, to secure and connect mining equipment. Perform basic mechanical adjustments and troubleshooting as needed. Ensure all equipment is installed in accordance with company safety standards.
Data Management :
Employ a laptop to accurately scan and record the serial numbers of installed miners for inventory tracking and system monitoring. Utilize Excel or Google Sheets to input, organize, and analyze data related to miner deployment and performance. Create and maintain detailed records of installation procedures and equipment configurations.
Operational Support:
Maintain a level of physical stamina, as the role requires standing for extended periods. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize risk of injury. Work with other technicians and supervisors to accomplish deployment goals. Communicate any issues or needed repairs to the appropriate supervisors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs. Proficiency in using standard hand tools (drill, hammer, wire strippers, screwdriver). Basic computer skills, including experience with laptop operation and data entry. Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets for data management and analysis. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Reliable and punctual.
