JOB DESCRIPTION

We are scaling our Salesforce practice to deliver Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud solutions for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device organizations. We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Consultant with strong Salesforce platform expertise, life sciences domain experience, and a proven ability to design and deliver scalable, compliant solutions. This role will play a critical part in shaping solution architecture, guiding platform decisions (out-of-the-box vs. custom), and delivering end-to-end implementations leveraging Life Sciences Cloud, OmniStudio, Data Cloud (Data 360), and core Salesforce capabilities. Experience with Veeva and regulated life sciences environments is a strong plus. Employees who are not actively deployed on a client project and reside within a one-hour commute of an Apex branch office are expected to work onsite at least once per week.

RESPONSIBLITIES

Solution Design & Delivery Lead the design and implementation of Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud solutions aligned to industry use cases such as: HCP/HCO engagement Clinical trial and site management Medical affairs Commercial and patient services Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions using standard platform capabilities wherever possible Make informed decisions on when to use out-of-the-box functionality vs. custom components, balancing scalability, compliance, performance, and maintainability Salesforce Platform Expertise Design and implement solutions using: Salesforce core platform (Sales, Service, Experience Cloud) Life Sciences Cloud data model and industry objects OmniStudio (FlexCards, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, OmniScripts) Contribute to and govern Salesforce data models, ensuring alignment with life sciences-specific data structures and enterprise data strategies Data & Integration Design and support data architectures leveraging Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360) for: Master data management Identity resolution Unified HCP, HCO, and patient profiles Lead or support integrations with external systems (e.g., clinical systems, ERP, data warehouses) using APIs and event-driven patterns Collaborate with data and integration teams to ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance Life Sciences & Compliance Apply industry best practices related to: GxP environments Data privacy and consent management Auditability and traceability Leverage prior life sciences project experience to proactively identify risks, dependencies, and regulatory considerations Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and architects to define roadmaps and solution approaches Provide technical leadership and mentorship to delivery teams Support client discussions, solution walkthroughs, and design reviews

JOB REQUIREMENTS

6+ years of Salesforce implementation experience Experience with: Salesforce platform configuration and customization Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative automation OmniStudio Salesforce data modeling and governance Strong understanding of when to extend the platform with custom code vs. standard functionality Prior experience delivering life sciences projects (pharma, biotech, med device, CRO, or health-related organizations) Familiarity with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud concepts and use cases Experience with Veeva CRM or Veeva Vault is a strong plus Experience designing and implementing Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360) solutions Knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, and event-driven architectures Ability to understand business process, solution and help breakdown the work (technical) Experience and strong understanding of Salesforce best practice of industry and apply them into context of client requirements (with existing best practice) Experience working across multiple product teams in solution collaboration Experience with broader software engineering scope from design, test, build, code review, deploy. Experience working in self-organizing agile teams with outcome-oriented mindset Expectation is that this person will lead and will also help with some development High level of independence and autonomy in producing deliverables. Positive relationship builder able to navigate through complex situations to ensure the most robust and pragmatic solution. Strong analytical skills and the aptitude to quickly identify gaps and risks. Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts to engineering and business partners. Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer, OmniStudio Consultant, Integration Architecture Designer) preferred. Experience working in regulated environments (GxP, HIPAA, GDPR) preferred. Consulting or systems integrator background preferred. Experience contributing to solution standards, accelerators, or reference architectures preferred.
