RIGHTECH
is a leading nationwide provider of technical staffing services and is currently seeking experienced Data Center Technicians for an ongoing project in Cheyenne, WY starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled low-voltage professionals with active data center experience who are looking for long-term work. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications. Build and install telecommunications and data closets (IDF/MDF). Install cable pathways, including basket tray, ladder rack, J-hooks, and support systems. Pull, route, dress, and secure low-voltage copper and fiber optic cabling. Terminate and test Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A jacks and patch panels. Label, test, and certify copper and fiber installations according to project specifications. Maintain clean, organized cable routing and accurate documentation. Follow all job site safety procedures and company standards. Work effectively with project managers, technicians, and other trades in a fast-paced data center environment. Qualifications Recent hands-on experience working in active data center environments is required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documentation. Experience building IDF/MDF closets and installing structured cabling systems. Proficient in pulling, dressing, terminating, and testing low-voltage copper and fiber optic cabling. Familiarity with OTDR testing, fiber certification, and troubleshooting is a plus. Strong understanding of structured cabling installation best practices. Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
