Data Technician Position Tactibit Technologies provides innovative information technology, cybersecurity, and cloud support services to the Federal Government. We support some of the nation's most critical and demanding projects including satellite operations, critical infrastructure, and search and rescue. We are a diverse team of hands-on professionals dedicated to solving problems and developing innovative solutions in support of our customers' critical missions. Data Technician Responsibilities Research, design, deploy, and document new data management tools and techniques Manage large-scale data sets from modern ground systems and applications Support data management processing including data migration, backup, and recovery Provide reporting metrics to management and customers Assist with troubleshooting issues Work with cross-functional teams to ensure sound data management practices throughout the software development lifecycle Data Technician Requirements 8+ years of enterprise data management experience Experience with GIS data Strong understanding of data management processes and technologies Experience using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Java, PowerShell, Ruby, etc. Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure Must be able to pass a full background investigation and obtain a security badge to enter the applicable government facility Desired Qualifications Experience working with AWS services or AWS cloud certification(s) are a plus Experience in high-performance computing, machine learning, artificial intelligence applications and frameworks in a cloud environment Familiarity with environmental or scientific data processing Familiarity with modern agile software development principles, practices, methods, and tools Experience with version control systems (preferably Git) and issue tracking software (preferably Jira) BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, but not required Industry certifications such as AWS certifications Apply for this Job Please use the
