Job Description

Director, Data Management Overview We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Data Management to lead our enterprise data warehousing, data governance, and AI-enabled data initiatives. This leader will drive the design, development, optimization, and governance of enterprise data platforms while managing a high-performing data engineering team. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in AWS Redshift, Informatica IDMC, enterprise data warehousing, data governance, and modern cloud data architectures. This role requires a proven leader who can drive initiatives, influence stakeholders, and align data strategy with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and emerging AI capabilities. Key Responsibilities Lead enterprise data warehouse strategy, architecture, and modernization initiatives. Design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions leveraging AWS Redshift and Informatica IDMC. Oversee Operational Data Stores (ODS), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), data lakes, data marts, and metadata repositories. Drive development of high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines supporting batch and real-time data processing. Establish and lead enterprise data governance programs, including data quality, lineage, cataloging, metadata management, and stewardship. Ensure data platforms meet performance, scalability, security, and compliance requirements. Partner with Technology, Product, Risk, Compliance, and Security teams to support regulatory and business objectives. Lead AI-driven data initiatives, including data classification, governance automation, and responsible AI practices. Define enterprise data security standards in partnership with Information Security leadership. Mentor and develop data engineering teams while promoting engineering excellence and operational discipline. Manage vendor relationships, technology evaluations, and strategic roadmap planning. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in data warehousing, data engineering, or enterprise analytics platforms. 5+ years of leadership experience managing enterprise data teams.
Strong hands-on experience with:
AWS Redshift Informatica IDMC Cloud-based ETL/ELT architectures SQL performance tuning and optimization Data modeling, data lineage, and metadata management Data quality and governance frameworks Experience implementing enterprise data governance programs. Strong knowledge of data security, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Python scripting experience. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern data engineering practices. Excellent communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives and drive organizational change. AI literacy and the ability to effectively leverage AI tools and technologies. Financial services or fintech industry experience. Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as
SOC 2, PCI
DSS, BSA/AML, or similar compliance standards. Cloud or data engineering certifications. Education Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
