Up to $180K Base + Benefits Build, Scale & Lead a High-Performing Data Engineering Team A growing organization is looking for an experienced Manager of Data Engineering to help expand its data engineering capabilities and lead a talented team of engineers. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of people, technology, and delivery. You'll provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, influence architecture, and help establish the processes and standards needed to support a growing data environment. You'll have meaningful ownership over engineering delivery and the opportunity to make a direct impact on how data is built, managed, and used across the organization. What You'll Do Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Engineers while fostering a strong engineering culture. Manage the delivery of multiple data initiatives from planning through implementation. Influence data architecture, engineering standards, and development practices . Design and develop scalable data pipelines, transformations, and models . Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of existing data infrastructure. Establish effective approaches to data testing, monitoring, validation, and quality . Partner with analytics, technology, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective data solutions. Manage priorities, roadmaps, sprint planning, and backlog execution. Identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, documentation, and engineering efficiency . Provide hands-on technical guidance and support the team in solving complex engineering challenges. What We're Looking For 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, Analytics Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 3+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams. Proven experience building and scaling modern data platforms and pipelines . Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python . Experience with modern ELT/ETL practices. Strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture . Experience implementing data testing, monitoring, and quality practices. Comfortable working in a hands-on leadership role with strong technical depth. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Experience within a high-growth technology or similarly complex environment is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data, or a related field preferred. Why This Role?
