This position is for student data entry and analysis to support our Charter School educational programs and progress. Company Overview Second Mile Education is dedicated to empowering at-risk youth by providing personalized, technology-driven learning environments. Summary We are seeking a Data Specialist to join our innovative team at Second Mile Education. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and analyzing data that drives our educational programs. Your expertise will help us enhance our technology-driven learning environments and ensure that every student has the tools they need to thrive. Responsibilities Design and maintain databases to support educational programs and initiatives. Analyze data sets to provide insights that inform decision-making processes. Develop ETL processes to ensure accurate data integration from various sources. Utilize Python for data analysis and automation tasks. Create visualizations using Tableau to present data findings effectively. Collaborate with educators and administrators to understand data needs and improve reporting capabilities. Implement best practices for data management and security within the organization. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in database design and management. Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis. Familiarity with ETL processes and tools is essential. Experience with data warehousing concepts is highly desirable. Knowledge of AWS services related to data storage and processing is a plus.
