Ensures HIPAA compliance and uses MIS standards to complete tasks efficiently. Utilizes tools and technologies for resource management and applies Change Management per MIS Policy. Improves processes and reduces costs through effective management practices. Develops relationships within departments and leadership, attends meetings, and communicates key initiatives to MIS Management. Communicates effectively with team members and customers, analyzes issues, and presents ideas to various audiences. Leads group efforts to resolve complex problems professionally. Maintains applications and devices within Service Level Agreements, tracks incidents, and escalates issues per MIS standards. Utilizes Waterfall, AGILE, and LEAN methodologies for project management, collaborating with the Project Management Office and teams for timely completion. Tracks project status, prioritizes tasks, and coordinates specifications and estimates. Manages staff performance and development, ensuring training compliance, recruiting, and coaching staff. Participates in budget processes and engages in personal development. Completes employee assessments, plans career development, and performs other duties to ensure smooth MIS department operations.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to assess and identify departmental opportunities associated with the use of technology/automation. [Required]
- Ability to manage activities of staff and/or large groups of direct and/or indirect reports to meet deadlines and resolve problems. [Required]
- Ability to logically read and comprehend technical manuals and instructions. [Required]
- Ability to solve problems quickly and accurately. [Required]
- Ability to operate computer equipment. [Required]
- Familiar with public and private cloud infrastructure, virtualization, relational database use and design, mobile applications, data security, end user devices, operating systems, and networking. [Required]
- Understands Client/Server, Web and Mainframe architectures. [Required]
- Self motivated, requiring little supervision. [Required]
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. [Required]

- An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement: Associates degree's in a field of study such as business, IS, or related area OR 2 years healthcare experience

- Project Management Professional (PMP) [Preferred]
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) [Preferred]
- Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) [Preferred]
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) [Preferred]
