The Healthcare Foundation supports the hospital's mission of providing healthcare services that excel in caring, quality and innovation. From helping to purchase the most technologically advanced medical equipment to funding SMH staff training and certifications that enable them to perform the most advanced medical procedures, the Healthcare Foundation provides critical resources that help SMH maintain its ranking as one of the nation's top hospitals. The Director of Advancement Services develops, manages, and implements a comprehensive and systematic approach for researching, identifying and qualifying prospects for the Foundation. Oversees data management, reporting and integrity, including gift recording/ receipting system. Supervises a team dedicated to data support, maintenance, integrity and reporting. Provides research profiles, research functionality, and guidance in developing each front-line fundraiser's pipeline of prospects, as well as develops expertise in available technology and provides support for the department's staff and all users of the Foundation's constituent database system. Prepares and provides monthly and quarterly reports for the Foundation and accounting/finance as required. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring department and division projects and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of organizational goals.
